Black Spectrum’s Arts and Education and After-School Programming

We offer instruction and performances in a wide range of performing arts disciplines, including:

Children, Youth, and Adult Theatre Institute

Since 1980, Black Spectrum has served as an unrivaled showcase for rising young actors. Our prestigious company has trained over 3,000 students in our children/youth division and summer theatre camp programs. Mentoring children, teens and adults in the arts is what Black Spectrum's Institute is all about. We're proud to say that training here at Black Spectrum is tantamount to the finest training in the world. Our participants have gone on to prestigious drama schools and have done professional theatre as well as professional television.

Theatre Training

Cost

  • $750 for Children (Ages 7–13) Saturdays 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • $750 for Youth (Ages 14–19) Saturdays 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • $150 per Adult (Ages 20 & Up, 8-Week Course) Evening Classes

E-CAP (Entertainment Careers Arts Program)

Black Spectrum's community education programs are committed to bringing theater to classrooms and underserved community schools throughout the NYC area.

Holiday Theatre Camp
